Anti-Corrosive Chemicals - Also known
as corrosion
inhibitors. Chemicals which protect metals by:
(a) passivating the metal by the promotion of a thin
metal oxide film (anodic inhibitors); or
(b) physically forming a thin barrier film by controlled
deposition (cathodic inhibitors).
