Dr. William F. McCoy - Chief Technology Officer,
North America
Dr. William McCoy is Chief Technology Officer for our
North American operations. Dr. McCoy is an experienced
industry microbiologist, chemist and internationally
recognized inventor and author.
Career Achievements
Recipient of the Imhoff-Koch Medal for Outstanding
Contribution to Water Management and Science from
the International Water Association (2001).
Inventor of the Year Award from the Intellectual
Property Law Association (2001).
Grand Prize Technical Innovation Trophy from the
SUEZ group (2000).
Governor’s Pollution Prevention Award from
the State of Illinois (1999).
R&D 100 Award from Research and Development Magazine
(1998).
Dr McCoy has also published 28 patents, 50 peer-reviewed
scientific articles, and 6 book chapters in the field
of microbial control and in 2005, a full-length book
"Preventing Legionellosis".
Dr McCoy holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University
of Calgary and an M.Sc. from the University of Hawaii.
He also has two undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and
Microbiology and is from Southern California.
